BBTrain Instructor Terms
Effective and last updated: September 6, 2026
These Instructor Terms supplement the BBTrain Terms of Service for independent instructors who apply to create and deliver courses through BBTrain.
Profiles, qualifications, and course information
You are responsible for accurate application, profile, qualification, course-description, schedule, pricing, prerequisite, and outcome information. You must disclose professional or licensing limitations relevant to your course and must not make false or misleading claims about qualifications, employment, income, licensing, immigration, credential acceptance, or learner outcomes.
Course and cohort requirements
Courses must contain 6–12 approved classes and have a minimum tax-inclusive price of CAD $200. A cohort accepts no more than 20 learners and requires at least 10 paid learners to begin. If the minimum is not reached, BBTrain may delay or reschedule the cohort. You must not bypass the start gate and must use BBTrain's authorized scheduling workflow. A delay alone does not create an automatic refund entitlement, except where required by applicable law.
Delivery and professional conduct
You must deliver approved classes responsibly, attend and follow the confirmed schedule, keep course information current, use attendance and multiple-choice assessment tools accurately where applicable, protect learner safety and privacy, and maintain professional, non-discriminatory conduct. Schedule changes and cancellations must use the available authorized workflows and communications.
Content and intellectual property
You must own or have permission to use all submitted text, documents, images, course materials, and other content. Do not upload unlawful, infringing, malicious, or unauthorized copyrighted material. You retain rights you hold in your content and grant BBTrain the permissions reasonably necessary to review, host, display, secure, deliver, and administer it for the course.
Platform and instructor shares
For qualifying collected cohort revenue, the BBTrain platform share is 15% and the instructor share is 85%. The calculation may remain subject to actual payment status and legally required refunds, chargebacks, taxes, currency conversion, or external processing treatment reflected by the implemented workflow; BBTrain does not introduce any additional fee through these Terms.
Current payout workflow and taxes
Payouts are not automatic. The current workflow is: payout statement/invoice, administrator approval, external manual payment by Interac e-Transfer or PayPal, and administrator confirmation using “Mark Paid,” after which BBTrain records payoutComplete=true. Instructors are responsible for their own tax registration, reporting, remittance, and other personal or business obligations where legally applicable.
Enforcement and termination
BBTrain may request changes, reject or remove courses, suspend delivery, or restrict or terminate an instructor account for inaccurate information, safety or security concerns, unlawful or infringing content, failure to deliver, policy violations, or material breach. Nothing in these Instructor Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot be limited under applicable law.
